Total of COVID-19 infections worldwide now stands at 10 million, with more than 500,000 deaths.
According to data from Johns Hopkins University, a total of 10,057,300 new infections were detected as of Monday morning.
The official data saw half of the cases reported in Europe and the United States.
The United States recorded more than 2.5 million cases of infection with over 125,000 deaths.
New cases are reported to increase one to two percent daily since last week.
Most countries now conduct screening on patients showing symptoms or critical cases.
The first case of COVID-19 was reported in Wuhan, China on January 10.
